TERRACE VIEW PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
TVPC Monthly Communion

With the social distancing guidelines, TVPC will be providing Communion in a unique fashion. We will be led in the Holy Sacrament of Communion via video.
TVPC invites all to the table who have a steadfast belief and commitment to Jesus Christ. Through the waters of baptism, we are born into Christ’s family. That family is nourished and sustained at this table. Though we are baptized but once, in the Lord’s Supper we reaffirm our commitment to Christ, and God renews us with grace.
PREPARING FOR COMMUNION:
Each of us, at our own residence, will ‘self-serve’ our own bread and wine, juice or water. Since we are used to having a special wine chalice and plate at church and we suggest for you to do the same. Find a plate and cup that has special meaning to you, put a little bread or cracker on the plate and pour your choice of wine, juice or water in the cup. God is always present with us and in a time as this, we will witness His love and compassion as we celebrate the Lord's Supper together.
LIGHTING OF THE CHRIST CANDLE
(if you have a candle and it is safe to do so, please light the candle)
(If a candle is not possible, turn on a lamp or light)

Invitation to the Table
All are welcomed at this table as it unites through Jesus Christ the King of Kings.
The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took a loaf of bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way he took the cup also, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. The gifts of God for the people of God…
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive our sins as we forgive those who sin against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen
Breaking the Bread
EXTINGUISHING OF THE CHRIST CANDLE - (if you lit a candle, please extinguish it)

CLOSING PRAYER:
God of love and all creation, we praise you and thank you for teaching us new ways of connecting with you. As we have received these gifts of love- the Gift of God, for the People of God- let us remember to always share your Good News and the love of Christ with those around us. Amen
